The Archaeological Site Welcome to the experimental Site of Aquileia, where the real Museum is the whole town! Our target is how to talk about this amazing place of Northerner Italy, Aquileia and Roman Archaeology, with the help of the new emerging technologies (Java, Javascripts & VRML expecially). A SPECIAL NOTE: This site is maintained by part of the National Association for Aquileia, a not-profit organisation and based on volunteers, whose only target, since when it was founded in 1928, has been to promote the image and the acquaintance of Aquileia all around the World, often experimenting technics and methods suddenly adopted for Archaeology by the same National Institutions: but we aren't and we don't want to represent anybody if not ourselves. So please do dot identify this site as the only organization in Aquileia, even if we hope a general growth and collaboration about all the resources which Aquileia can really offer todays. We are open to every partecipation - commercial excluded because annoying for visitors - , if it appear to be in theme with the contents above, of general interest, and/or related to Aquileia .
